Friday morning I packed up our stuff and headed over to Aunt Peggy's to drop off Stasa and head to the airport for the girl's weekend in Chicago. Stasa hung out with Aunt Peggy for the day until Tom got off of work and then headed over to Aunt Kelly's for a slumber party with her and Finley. I have been told that Stasa was a good girl at both houses and is welcome back at any time.
Kelly took lots of pictures while Stasa was at her house and it looks like Finley was a huge fan of the Food Dropper.

Breakfast (see a pattern?):
And then they colored and played:
And went on a picnic lunch:
And had some quiet time:
Meanwhile we girls were living it up in Chicago, though the logistics were a bit of a mess. Our flight there on Friday was delayed due to weather (the monsoon) in Chicago, so Lesli and I ordered cocktails on the plane. We finally arrived in the Windy City only to find that our fabulous condo in the John Hancock building was out of power thanks to the owner neglecting his bills. So we were put up in another amazing condo for the night and went out to a low key dinner. Saturday we woke up, packed up and headed out to see Sex and the City 2. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS MOVIE. DO NOT. It was horrendous and awkward. After the movie we find out that our condo in the Hancock building still has no power and won't for the entire weekend. Anne gave the rental people a huge piece of her mind and got all of our money back, but we were homeless in Chicago and only had a couple of hours to find a new place to stay before we had to get ready for our fancy night out. After many, many inquiries we finally found a home at the Elysian: 2 adjoining master suites:
Then we got all fancied up for our dinner at Japonais.
Sunday morning we said our sad goodbyes to Julia, who had an early flight, and then headed down for brunch in the hotel. Then I was back home and was so happy to see Tom and Stasa.
