Never Have I Ever: The Mommy Edition

You know the drill. Let's do this.

Never have I ever...
Hidden in a dark kitchen to eat candy without my kids knowing.

Told Stasa that the tv, her favorite movie or obnoxious toy was broken.

Stuffed all of the dishes in the dishwasher instead of hand washing the pots...just so I could watch tv instead.

Snuck out of the house while the kids weren't looking so I could shop at Target alone.

Sent my kids to daycare and then spent the day at home.

Paraphrased Berenstain Bears books down to 3 word sentences a page.

Offered up a mid-morning bubble bath to keep my kids contained.

Kept driving around because my kids fell asleep in the car.

Watched the SpongeBob Squarepants movie on repeat to have semi-quiet on the drive from Virginia to Illinois.

Recorded a tantrum...just because.

And finally, never have I ever loved as much as I do now. What a sap.

Thea Natassa

Tom's cousin, Natassa, was here for 10 days before heading back home to Greece. Stasa immediately took to her and didn't want to be away from her at all. In fact, she cried every time we had to leave Natassa to go home. And it was so cute how Stasa called her "the 'Tassa" or "my 'Tassa." Lexi is wary of everyone and kept her distance because she's a stinker like that. But even Lexi loved playing with the toys and games Natassa brought them. She's always so thoughtful.

She's also hilarious. Natassa entertained Stasa during Uncle Ed's burial reception. They had a tea party and Stasa had brought cookies, but told Natassa that she had to pretend that she had cookies and that Stasa would eat real cookies. Natassa sent me this:

Stasa had a blast with Natassa during her visit and loved being a silly little girl while she was at our house.
