A girl, her daddy, and a pink ball

We got home a little on the late side tonight, but Tom was already home and basically had dinner on the table, so we were still able to have enough time after dinner to take advantage of the nice weather. Tom asked Stasa if she wanted to play outside. She perked up and announced that she wanted to kick the pink ball with daddy. So kick the ball they did.

Then after about 30 or 40 minutes of non-stop running and kicking, she announced that "ball is tired. Ball go bed now." And she scooped up the ball and marched inside with it. Ball done.

Just like daddy

In the kitchen...

And ready to bike...

Tom had just left on his bike right before I took this picture. She saw him leave and stood by the door saying "I love you daddy!" over and over and over. And then she proclaimed it was "boots time", shoved her feet in the boots, grabbed her helmet and marched off to get her bike. She loves her daddy so much.

I was a gullible child, apparently Stasa is, too

When I was little, my uncle had my cousin and me pick up all of the sticks in the yard...and I happily went around picking up as many sticks as I could because he had convinced me it was a super fun game. I always laughed when someone would tell that story and thought man, I wasn't that bright.

Fast forward to Monday evening. It was nice out, but too late to take a trip to the playground, so we had some "play" time in the front yard. Tom had a bit of yard work to finish and we needed some way to keep Stasa entertained while he was busy digging up the front flower bed. Tom came up with the best idea.

We brought out a couple of buckets and had her pick up all of the leftover landscaping rocks...a job she took very seriously. Every time she filled the big Homer bucket Tom would take it to the back and empty it and she would run after him with her tiny orange bucket. She so wants to be just like daddy.

Couch play with Daddy

Tom and Stasa have their own little game they play with the couch pillows. They both pull the back pillows down and pretend to hide underneath them, only when Stasa does it she giggles the whole time. And this is what she looks like when you "find" her:

And when a blanket gets involved, it's even MORE fun.

When they play this game my face ends up hurting from laughing and smiling so much.

Caged

For some reason Stas really wanted to play in her crib Tuesday afternoon. So I threw her in with her blankets, lovey and bears and she had a blast.

And look at this crazy face she kept giving me:

After about 30 minutes she decided she was done being caged and was ready to come out.

Upon being released she ran over to the glider to practice her daredevil skills. I'm pretty impressed that she's able to climb in and out of the chair without falling and she's even able to climb up on the rocking ottoman, too.

Annnnnnd my new favorite picture of our baby:

After dinner she had a bath since she's been spending time at the pool with Gigi at daycare.

And then she got to play the guitar for a little while with daddy before bedtime. She's actually pretty good at strumming and loves being daddy's capo.

Stasa and Daddy

Look at those cute little spiky hairs.

Mmm...someone's getting hungry.

Watch out, Stasa!

Daddy's little girl

Stasa decided to dress just like Daddy today - white undershirt, blue pants and white socks. The only difference is that Stasa wears her pants like an old man - up past her belly button - just like her Uncle Jeff.
