No, not hoof and mouth. HAND, FOOT and MOUTH. She had a fever of 102.4, a few red bumps around her mouth and on her chest (trunk) and a sore red throat. I only noticed the fever. I was attributing the red bumps around her mouth to all of her drooling. I didn't even see the 2 or 3 little bumps on her chest. I called Dr. Hunter after hours and she told us to take her to Peds@Night, an urgent care center.
The on-call doctor diagnosed her with hand, foot and mouth disease. He said it's really common and now that she's had it, she won't get it again. A combo of Malox, Benadryl and Motrin set her straight. She's still a little fussy and has a low fever, but getting better.
