Weekend Adventures

Stasa has been on the go all weekend. We spent Thanksgiving at Aunt Peggy and Uncle Pat's with the family and then went back on Friday for more family fun. Yesterday we went to Algonkian Regional Park for a little outdoor play, ran some errands at the mall and Target and then spent the evening with Grandpops and Uncle Vince at our house. Today she woke up and sat in her crib, talking to her lovey and blankets and then had some morning playtime in the play room.

She's modeling her Puma sweatsuit from Aunt Jenny and Uncle Dan.

She wasn't ready to get dressed yet and still needed a bath.

After a loooooooooong day of stimulation, she passed out on the play room floor.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Stasa's first Thanksgiving was a lot of fun! She was a HUGE FAN of all of the food and couldn't get it in fast enough. She even had round 2 for dinner and still wanted more. Here are some pictures from our day.
Before leaving for Aunt Peggy's house. She's a little apprehensive about this holiday.

What a pig! She tried to stuff the whole waffle in her mouth at once, but was unsuccessful. I packed away more of her clothes today since a lot of her footed pjs and pants are getting too short. Where's my little baby???

Bows and boots

Poor baby! She wasn't a big fan of the bow.

And check out this ridiculously cute outfit she wore today.

44 Weeks Old

Check out that belly! Tom and I are amazed at how much she's changed - it seems like it was overnight. Stasa now prefers to walk instead of crawling so today we went with Aunt Peggy to get her some big girl shoes. She happily played all day with pieces of Tupperware and was walking all over the kitchen. So now we might wrap empty boxes AND Tupperware for her to open on Christmas morning!

Stasa is also quite the daredevil and refuses to stay seated in the bathtub. She loves giving her mama a heart attack.

The only way I could get her to sit still was letting her suck on the washcloth. Yes, I know, "ewww." Oh well.

Look at all of her little hairs!

And we always have playtime in her room after bathtime. Poor piggy.

See how she "reads?"

Eating waffles with just a little bit of syrup for breakfast.

More than you ever wanted

She learned how to do "SO BIG!"

She's a walking fool now.

And mowing, because you know, all carpets need a good mowing.

Last night she was dancing to Henry Mancini

Sometimes she just wants to play and climb.

She learned how to play "fetch!" but only with the Redskins pillow.

And she JUST learned how to open some of the Poppin' Pals.

43 Weeks Old, belated

2 more months until she's ONE! We've been fighting a cold for the past week or so and it's been no fun. But despite being under the weather, Stasa is taking on walking like it's her job. She's now choosing to walk about 1/3 of the time and crawling the rest. Tonight she walked behind her push lawnmower for the first time by herself! It's hard, too! You have to hold up the handle and you can't put all of your weight on the handle or it will fall. Unfortunately the minute I ran to grab my camera to capture it on video she had a major meltdown. Nothing would calm her down - not me, not Tom, not even the cat. She finally calmed down after some rocking and quiet time.

She loves her playroom

Can you tell? We spend everyday in it before and after work and most of the weekend days are now spent playing there. It's so nice having a fun and safe space for her to play. AND she's getting so much better about playing by herself - like she'll just go off in a corner and play with her stacking cups or balls.
Here's some pre-bedtime and early morning play:

Who's that baby?

She thinks she's getting away with murder by playing with this water bottle.

Her shirt says "MY MOM RULES"

And she STILL loves the bouncer.

Working from home

Hey, mama, look behind you!

Do you mind if I set up my space here?

Let me just grab my chair.

This is a good spot.

What file did you need again, mama?

Goofballs

As you can see, Stasa and Lu had a great time playing together. Lu makes the cutest "ooo" face and is quite the wrestler. I think you'll be seeing both of these diesels on WWE one day.
They do not like to share and fought over the same toys a lot, neither one wanted to give up the "crackberry."

42 Weeks Old

We got up early today and took a walk around the neighborhood and took a few pictures. We should definitely add early morning walks to our weekend routine - it was peaceful and a great way to start the day! We spent the rest of the day running errands after Stasa's morning nap and then spent the afternoon playing in the playroom. Stasa's taking mroe and more steps each day and has amazing balance - she starts to tip over and then steadies herself by waving her arms like a gymnast on a balance beam.

Look at the mess she made.

And finally some videos of her taking steps.

And being a maniac.
