The big ultrasound

You know your baby loves you when it's already flipping you off in the womb. This little one did not want to cooperate at all. Every time the tech would get a clear picture and freeze the screen I would feel the baby flip  over. It took the tech a lifetime just to get all of the shots of the heart that she needed. Which is kind of my favorite part - I love seeing all four chambers of the heart. It's so super cool. And the heart rate was at 150. This baby just keeps us guessing on the sex. Which of course we didn't find out. Now we won't see our little nugget again until he or she decides it's "d" day.

Love that Baby Merks kept hiding its face.

The Big Ultrasound

Baby Merkel #2 did not want to cooperate at all for the ultrasound today - I think we have a stubborn child in the making. We got a lot of fun pictures though and the tech eventually got all of the measurements she needed. The baby's heartrate was up to 162 during the exam and is measuring at 20 weeks 2 days old and 13 ounces. Our little bundle of joy is currently Frank Breech, basically sitting (and occasionally standing) on my cervix.

Ultrasound day

We took Stasa to get an ultrasound on her sacral dimple today. She hated being undressed (she's a very modest baby), but calmed down once we covered her with the sheets from the table. Of course she also pooped and peed on the table. The doctor came in and scanned her dimple and back and said everything looked good and that we have nothing to worry about.

So now we're done with all of the extra tests for Stasa. She only has her routine appointments left.
