It is Halloween! HALLOWEEN!

The Princess and The Bat

Cheeseball forgot she was supposed to be a princess, but I suppose a princess can smile however she wants.

Chubby cheeks

We managed to get about an hour of trick-or-treating in before Stasa announced "I'm excited to go home now!"

And our little bat fell asleep about 5 minutes after we started.

Hope everyone had a fun Halloween!

It's not even Halloween yet...

...so why do we need to dress like this?

Oh, right. Because we woke up to freezing rain with a side of snowy slush. I guess Trick-or-Treating at the Reston Town Center isn't going to happen this afternoon.

McStasa's is open for business

"Welcome to McStasa's. Can I take your order?"
"Yes, I'll have a Krabby Patty, some fries, aaaaaaaaaaaand that'll be all. Thank you!"
"Okay. Coming!"

"I'm sorry, did you say you wanted an orange with that?"
"No, thank you."
"Take the orange, lady."

"Here you go! A Krabby Patty Patty, some fries, and a toy!"

Love it. My first Happy Meal from McStasa's.

When I don't sleep, my thoughts are a bit scattered

Some outfits of the day:

We carved pumpkins this week.

I made the Halloween skirt Stas is wearing in that third OOTD:

I have a few other fabrics to make more skirts, but I might try a different pattern. I'm undecided if I'll make the others as long - I do like the idea that she might be able to wear it again next year. I used this pattern for the Halloween skirt and while it was pretty easy, it was late at night when I was sewing and I kept making stupid errors.

Little Lexi is teething and driving me batty with her gnawing and drooling and sleep-striking. Look at the bags under her eyes - she's GOT to be exhausted, right? I know I am.

Conversations with Stasa

In the bathroom, while sitting on the potty:
Stasa: Mommy, my poo-poo is happy.
Me: Poo-poo's happy?
Stasa: Nooooooooooo. Poo-poo's mad.
Me: What? It's mad?
Stasa: Noooooooooo. Poo-poo's sad. Nooooooo. Poo-poo yucky. ::waves hand:: Yeah, poo-poo stinky. Pee-ew poo-poo!

In the car:
::sings:: Go daddy, go daddy, go daddy! Go sistahs, go sistahs, go sistahs! Go fwuar-wals, go fwuar-wals, go fwuar-wals! Go mommy, go mommy, go mommy! Go sitch, go sitch, go sitch! Go lee-wo, go lee-wo, go lee-wo!

Notes:
Fwuar-wals = squirrels
Sitch = Stitch (from Lilo and Stitch)
Lee-wo = Lilo

In the car, again:
Me: What's Lexi going to be for Halloween?
Stasa: A BAT!
Me: What about daddy?
Stasa: Daddy be a bat, too.
Me: So, what do you want to be for Halloween?
Stasa: A princess. Only big girls can be a princess.
Me: Oh, so can I be a princess, too?
Stasa: Noooooooooooo. You can be a bite.
Me: A bite?
Stasa: Yeah. A bite.

29 Weeks Old

Happy Anniversary Toooouooooouuoooo Ussssssss

We spent our 7th anniversary watching the Redskins stink it up. We brought Lexi and had a lot of fun - she's so well behaved at the games and this time she slept through most of the game. She's such a happy baby.

Napping while waiting for everyone to arrive

This is how Lexi tailgates

"Get it together, Rex!"

"I can throw better than that!"
