Our walk, in pictures

Stasa and I went on a short walk around the neighborhood this evening since it was so pretty outside. Here are some pictures from our wanderings.

Videos Galore!

There are a ton of videos in this post for 2 reasons. 1. I've been lazy about uploading them and 2. I kept trying to capture all of the cool things she's doing now (sitting up, rocking on all fours, planking...). Enjoy!

Swinging at the park

I took Stasa to the park yesterday for a little bit of swing time. She LOVES LOVES LOVES swinging. She gives her little giggles and BIG smiles when I push her. I wish they made playground swings for inside the house (like the doorway jumpers).

23 weeks old

I think the little booger has another tooth coming in. She's pulling on her ears, drooling like mad and fussing. Snaggles is growing up!

Afternoon playtime

Stasa had some play time with daddy when he got home from work today. Her current favorite thing to do is assisted standing. Look at those chubby thighs!

She's working on sitting up on her own and can manage for a few seconds. She can tripod really well on her own for long periods of time.

Here's her baby situp - she's got some strong abs.

Stasa LOVES mirrors - looking in them, eating them...

Happy Father's Day!

Stasa wore a special shirt just for Father's Day - "Light of Dad's Life". She made Tom a card with her picture on the front and a Simpson's quote inside. We spent the afternoon and evening at Tom's parents' house. We played a little Scattergories with everyone (Tom claims he won, but not everyone added their points) and had a delicious dinner. Here are some pictures from the day.

Stasa and Yia Yia

We spent Saturday chopping wood at Grandpop's and Yia Yia's house (well, Tom chopped, Stasa and I hung out). Stasa was wearing a cute little jean dress, but it got so hot and muggy, she decided to hang out semi-naked. Here are some pictures of her cooling off with Yia Yia.

Here's a better picture of our little snaggletooth.

She crawls! Backwards!

Yesterday I put Stasa down on her playmat and then looked up a few minutes later (I was working) and saw that she had gotten off the mat and across the rug. I didn't manage to catch it on video, but here she is going backwards in stills.

The first tooth bud

Found: 1 tooth bud
Description: sharp, pokey, white

Can you see it? It's to the right of my finger in the first picture.

5 months old

Today is Stasa's 5th monthday! Only 1 more month until she's 1/2 a year old and starts solids. I started reading Super Baby Food last night to get ready for our introduction to solids. I am leaning towards skipping rice cereal and oatmeal and going straight to avocados. They're higher in fat and have lots of nutriental value and a very low risk for allergies.
I took Stasa to the pool for the first time yesterday. I asked Peter to snap a couple of pictures of her in the pool. While he did take pictures, he didn't quite get Stasa in them. She HATED her raft, but tolerated the pool as long as I was holding her against me. We'll keep taking her so she can get used to the pool. She got to wear her super cute iplay swim diaper. I liked it so much, I'm definitely getting larger ones for later in the summer.
Here are a couple of videos from Friday. She was having a blast with her lovey and playing peek-a-boo!

Uncles Jeff and Peter

Stasa got to hang out with Uncle Jeff and Uncle Peter at the pool yesterday. We took some fun pictures once we got home.

Oh noes! I can't hear!

You can't see it (because I cropped it out), but Peter is holding his arm up to show off his muscles.

Nom, nom, nom, Uncle Peter's nose is tasty.
